BAKU, February 6: CGSS delegation comprising of Lt Col (R ) Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, CGSS and Dr. Mehmood Ul Hassan Khan, Member Board of Experts, CGSS met Dr. Yagub Mahmudov, Member of Parliament, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Director Institute of History and Chair of Baku State University in Baku, Azerbaijan. During this detailed meeting, both the parties showed keen interest on working jointly in the field of research and development. During this meaningful meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed including prospects of future cooperation & collaboration in terms of Scholar Exchange Programme, publications, people to people and last but not least organizational contacts.
During comprehensive meeting, Dr. Yagub Mahmudov showed his great concerns about social media reports regarding recognition of Armenia by the Government of Pakistan. Dr. Mehmood Member Board of Experts clarified that it was baseless and untrue accusation. Government of Pakistan, Foreign Ministry and all stakeholders are on same page. Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Taimur Akram (Retd) – Executive Director stated that Armenia is a terrorist state having fascist
ideology. He further highlighted that propaganda of Armenia is baseless. Dr. Yagub appreciated the sincere efforts of CGSS in promoting Pakistan – Azerbaijan relations. It was agreed that both the organizations will also sign an agreement/MoU for future collaboration in the areas of mutual interest. Dr. Yagub also invited the CGSS Team for the upcoming international conference.
