ISLAMABAD, March 10: Patron Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders Shahid Rasheed Butt on Thursday said traders unconditionally support demand of Rangers for additional powers so that it can ensure peace in a better way.
Rangers should be allowed to establish their own police stations, register FIR and submit and charge-sheets in the courts of law, he said.
Shahid Rasheed Butt said that Rangers has substantially reduced crime rate in the country’s economic hub. During 2014 eighteen hundred people were killed in target killings while in 2015 the rate was reduced to 800 people which indicate effectiveness of the institution.
He said that Rangers have not only revived the writ of the government but also infused confidence in the masses as well as business community which is providing sixty five percent taxes to the national kitty.-DNA
