A staunch believer in Hinduvata, the policy of his party BJP, is in sharp contrast to that of the Congress party, which believes in secularism A diehard Hindu nationalist , as he is, Modi has succeeded in bringing home the message of Hinduvata to the common Hindu and that is the precise reason why he is tenant of the PM House in New Delhi today.
Strange though as it may appear, there is no gainsaying the fact that the wave of nationalism has been sweeping the world today. To mention a few examples, didn’t Trump raise the slogan of ‘America First’?Hasn’t Britain extricated itself from the European Union?Is Putin not raising the slogan of Russian nationalism ?Are Turkey and Iran also not treading their nationalistic policies with full force? Keeping in view this wave of new _born nationalism , it isn’t difficult to understand as to why the world at large is looking the other way on Modi’s nationalistic agenda?
