LAHORE, February 26: President of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Wednesday proposed a ‘Sovereign Kashmir’ to resolve the issue.
In a statement, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain presented the formula of ‘Sovereign Kashmir’ and said that UN resolutions on Kashmir have become a waste pile. He also urged US President Donald Trump to play a reconciliatory role instead of offering mediation between Pakistan and India. President of PML-Q said that President Trump should play his role to stop atrocities in Kashmir. Donald Trump can easily win next election if he plays a successful role in resolving the Kashmir issue, he added.
He also said that US President can persuade UN to abandon previous resolutions on Kashmir and consider new options. He claimed that in the present context, sovereign Kashmir would be a bold and popular decision. -Agencies
