ISLAMABAD February 27: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan His Excellency Yao Jing has said that since the outbreak of the Coronavirus in Wuhan province his country is vigorously working to overcome the epidemic by finding out its perfect treatment . He added that things are moving in the right direction and resultantly they will be able to overcome the challenge at the earliest.
This he said while talking to a group of mediamen in the Embassy on Thursday. He said that generally his country is getting positive response and cooperation over the issue with a few exceptions.
As far as Pakistan Government, its people and media are concerned their response is praiseworthy over the issue. He said that some countries are attempting to develop conspiracy theories to defame China owing to their vested interests although this problem is not only the problem of China but a global one and need coordinated efforts to deal with it.
The Ambassador said that actual problem is that still no medicine or vaccine has been found fit for the treatment of the epidemic and that World Health Organization and Doctors all over the world are trying their level best to find out the perfect cure. He said that the situation is actually a challenge for the entire world and mankind and that his country is extending full cooperation with all other countries and governments to meet the situation.
The Ambassador expressed the hope that they will be able to have some kind of vaccine or medicine in a very short time to cope with the situation. He added that Pakistan not only enjoys a better monitoring system but also has far better expertise at its credit to meet the challenges like coronavirus.

his country is thankful to Pakistan government, its people , media and society for expressing solidarity and encouraging it to confront the situation. He added that Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, the Senate and National Assembly equally extended their support for which they are thankful to Pakistan.
To another question , the Ambassador said that the epidemic will have no impact on CPEC projects however the forthcoming Joint Working Group’s meetings have for the time being converted into Video conferences.
His Excellency further said that China is also extending cooperation to Pakistan to overcome the challenge of locust and that Chinese experts have completed their inspections in Sindh and are now conducting the exercise in Balochistan to tackle the issue. He disclosed that fifty tons of pesticides and sprays are being arrived in Karachi through a special plane for this purpose which is a testimony of their friendship and cooperation.
The Ambassador added that in the second phase of CPEC, joint ventures in the fields of industry, agriculture, Science and Technology etc are in the pipeline.
The Ambassador went on to say that his country was all set to donate thirty hospitals to Pakistan, which include a Burn Centre in Balochistan and state of the art an Emergency centre in Sindh.
