Some of the political analysts must have noticed a visible change in the tone and tenor of Bilawal against the PTI’s chief. They are bound to raise their eyebrows when a person who till yesterday used to call him as a selected PM suddenly starts using the word of an elected PM
What is the matter? Has Zardari changed the speech writer of Bilawal ?If that is not the case, has the PPP changed its political strategy? It is often said that the politics is the art of the possible. There is no last word in it. Friends can turn foes and vice versa, if that could facilitate their entry into the corridors of power easily. There has been no love lost between the JI and the JUI(F). Didn’t they embrace each other under the banner of the MMA not long ago and enjoyed power for good five years in the KPK?
Zardari is a shrewd politician. He must have realised that it would be folly to burn all his boats and shut the door of a compromise altogether. He is, therefore, keeping ajar the door of talks with powers that be.
Imran Khan too is now in the saddle for sufficient time to understand the statecraft and to realise how essential it is for the rulers to keep on their right side as many opposition leaders as possible. Odd it might seem to many a reader, but the example of Hitler is quite pertinent in this case. He was advised by his compatriots in the army like General Rommel not to take on Russia and western allied forces simultaneously as it would be disastrous for Germany but he didn’t pay any heed to them and paid a heavy price for it in the defeat of Germany. Imran Khan it seems have started giving ear to those of his advisers who want him not to push all of his detractors to the wall.
