ISLAMABAD, March 29: Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing has expressed hope that COVID-19 pandemic will come under control soon in Pakistan.
Addressing a ceremony here on Sunday, the Chinese ambassador said, “Pakistan is our deep friend and first priority to come out of this crisis.” He said that medical team from his country visiting Pakistan will share their knowledge and expertise with their Pakistani counterparts to deal with the threat of coronavirus. He was optimistic that pandemic will come under control soon in Pakistan.
Yao Jing said situation in Wuhan is improving fast with life returning to normalcy and “we are also trying to replicate the same experience in Pakistan too.”
It is worth mentioning that Chinese city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus epidemic started first, was partially reopened on Saturday, after more than two months of almost total isolation. Wuhan was placed under lockdown in January with residents forbidden to leave with roadblocks on the city’s outskirts and drastic restrictions on daily life.-TLTP
