As Muslims it is our belief that Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) son of Abdullah, was God’s last Messenger to mankind, and the Divine Message revealed through him will remain— till this planet remains the habitat of the sons and daughters of Adam and Eve—the amalgam of rules and regulations by which to live as individuals as well as members of a society—also by which to conduct the affairs of a state and a government.
Those who do not subscribe to this belief should treat themselves as ‘outsiders’ from the ambit of Islam. Or they should be excluded from the Umma. By Umma, let it be explained here is meant all those who regaid themselves as the followers of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and therefore fall automatically into the ambit of a single Nationhood—irrespective of the caste, the colour, the creed, the race, the ethnicity and the class.
When Pakistan came into being, we, the followers of Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him), in the simplest but the most emphatic terms, confirmed our allegiance to the spirit and the quest that in the year 622 AC became the driving force behind a journey that changed the history of the World.
Between 622 and 1947 there is a distance of 1325 years. There is however a two-word bridge that binds the State of Madina with the Republic of Pakistan.
Allah-o- Akbar
God is great.
In 622 the concept of the Supreme Rulership of Allah and the Empowerment of the impoverished people created the State of Madina.
In 1947 Pakistan was born to revisit the times when the Message of Allah the Almighty was ringing in the skies in the ever-living voice of the One and the Only whom Allah chose to be His Habib— the one who was born this day— the one whose birth we are celebrating today—
It is not the Will of God that poverty be hereditary and wealth be hereditary— that deprivation be hereditary and abundance be hereditary, that the right to rule be hereditary and the state of being ruled be hereditary— that sickness be hereditary and health be hereditary.
The voice of our Prophet— our Ultimate Leader said No—a loud No to all the injustices created by the privileged classes to keep the deprived ones under their yoke.
Let us rise to his call. And make Pakistan a worthy successor to the State he created 1325 years ago.
