Woe betide people that do not give ear to the directives of the government aimed at protecting them from a certain death at the hands of any pandemic. The way some of the people have been flouting the instructions of the government regarding adoption of precautionary measures for safeguarding themselves from coronavirus is a case in point. How else can one describe this attitude of theirs except saying that Illiteracy is the biggest curse in this country.
It is shocking to see mindset of a section of people of this country who consider scientific explanation of many things as a sin. It is this approach due to which we are lagging much behind the world in the realm of scientific research . During the past one thousand years or so no scientific work worth reporting has been done by us in any scientific field. Even many filthy rich Muslim rulers haven’t invested money which they could have invested easily in the domain of scientific research instead of squandering it on their leasurely life with the result that we are dependent on the scientifically advanced countries in many fields of life. Education has never been a priority of any government worth its salt in this country since 1947. From the womb of illiteracy, grow narrow mindedness which one can see in abundance in this country.
It is being alleged that had the border with Iran been closed and many pilgrims who were allegedly allowed to enter Pakistan at the instance of an important personality who moved in the corridors of power not allowed entry without proper check up the spread of Cornovirus in this country could have been avoided. The common man expects that instead of pushing this allegation under the carpet it needs to be investigated and facts laid bare before the public.
