SIALKOT, March 12: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif says the government is making adequate efforts for reducing electricity load-shedding in the country.
While addressing the Sialkot Bar Association on Saturday he said there will be a visible reduction in electricity load shedding by 2018.
He said the government is committed to provide maximum electricity to the industrial sector across the country. He further stated the government is also making efforts for improving the means of communication with the concept for linking backwards areas with developed parts of the country. The Minister said that government has focused its attention on bringing economic stability and to put the country on right track.
Khawaja Asif vowed the government would complete the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project with an active cooperation of all provinces which would make Pakistan economically strong.
He said the government is committed to weed out terrorism from the country with the cooperation of the masses. The Minister hailed the sacrifices and professional capabilities of the Pak Army in curbing terrorism and militancy from the country.
He said defence of the country is in very strong hands and the government successfully purged northern and tribal areas from militancy, extremism and terrorism during Operation Zarb-e-Azb.-Sabah
