RAWALPINDI, December 19: Army Chief Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that this extraordinary meeting of the OIC is of great importance to save Afghanistan from the growing security and humanitarian crisis.
According to a statement issued by Major General Babar Iftikhar, Director General (DG) of Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan called on Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to the Pakistan Army spokesman, issues of mutual interest, regional security, current situation in Afghanistan and bilateral defence relations were discussed during the meeting.
On the occasion, Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa thanked the Saudi leadership for convening an extraordinary meeting of the OIC Conference in Islamabad.-TLTP
