ISLAMABAD, December 19: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said on Saturday that awards will be given to the personnel injured in the encounter in Rawalpindi.
Talking to media after the police encounter in Islamabad, he congratulated the twin cities police and said that the Police chased the dacoits after midnight till morning and killed two dacoits, while three policemen also injured in the shootout.
Rashid went on to say that joint mechanism of Islamabad and Rawalpindi police is being set up, adding that there is need to be encourage the law-enforcement agency.
He said new plans will be formulated done after the OIC conference, adding, the IC conference is being held in Pakistan after 40 years and efforts are being made to eradicate crime.-TLTP
