PESHAWAR, December 22: Provincial minister for irrigation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Arshad Ayub Khan has said that it is difficult to get the best crop without better sources of irrigation. Excellent production can be achieved by building system irrigation on modern lines.
He expressed these views in a high level meeting of irrigation department. In the meeting, irrigation secretary Nizamuddin, chief engineer North Nasir Ghafoor, DG Small dams Sahibzada Shabir were also present. During meeting ongoing irrigation projects were reviewed while decision on capacity building of department also took place.
Secretary irrigation informed the provincial minister about the progress of work on ongoing projects of the department. Provincial Minister for irrigation Arshad Ayub gave necessary instructions to the officers regarding megaprojects and instructed them to complete the work timely and do inspection of quality of projects.-PR
