Butchers and barbarians have always been the scourge of mankind. Since the times immemorial, God has punished the ‘deserving’ nations by subjecting them to the butchery of such rulers as those, born with boundless passion for killing.
There have been in history ‘innumerable’ beasts in human garbs whose most favourite and enjoyable sport has been ‘slaughtering’ fellow human beings. The most notable among them was Chengis Khan. And all those of his dynasty who were tutored by him in the art of wholesale massacre.
In the recent times, the names that instantaneously come to mind, are Hitler, Stalin, Hafizul Asad and his son Bashara.
It was two years back when the Arab Spring started in Syria. Since then the world has witnessed a dreadful spectacle of savage slaughter in the land which has the unique distinction of launching the second round of Muslim conquests in the seventh century.
The Butcher at the helm of affairs in Damascus happens to be a Muslim too. So he claims—being an Alwite.
I don’t know whether Alwites too qualify to be convential Muslims like Sunnis and Shias. But the point I want to make here is that behind all that butchery in Syria are—Russia on the one hand and America on the other. It suits them both, for the realization of their global interests to encourage the transformation of the Muslim lands into blood-spilling killing fields.
