A delegation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan paid a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the press service of the main supervisory authority of the country reported Wednesday.
The delegation of the Prosecutor General’s Office with the participation of representatives of the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Justice of the republic held bilateral talks in Riyadh with representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the talks, draft agreements on extradition, on mutual legal assistance and on the transfer of convicted persons under consideration by the parties were discussed with a view to their further signing in the framework of the forthcoming high-level visits.
Representatives of the Prosecutor General’s Offices of Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia debated a wide range of issues on crime prevention, investigation, prosecution and suppression of crimes by developing cooperation and mutual legal assistance in criminal cases. In addition, the sides exchanged views on cooperation in the field of return of convicted persons, as well as strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of extradition.As a result of the consultations, the sides reaffirmed their willingness to continue joint efforts to further expand cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia in the legal sphere.
