ISLAMABAD, January 10: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah on Monday expressed the hope that the PPP and other opposition parties, part of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would together set out on a ‘long march’ towards Islamabad to press the government to go home. In an interview with a private television channel, the PPP leader said the opposition would not let the ‘mini budget’ be passed by the parliament and would protest against it inside as well as outside of the legislature. Khurshid further said that the PPP would also raise the issue of deaths of scores of tourists in Murree in extreme cold in the National Assembly (NA), and hold the government accountable for that. Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah said that Murree incident is not a natural catastrophe but it is the epic of incompetence and carelessness. He added that snow has also been falling previously in the country but the public was never left to die on roads. During the tenure of Shehbaz and Pervaiz Elahi all arrangements used to be made properly. He further added that we will talk about this matter in not only parliament but also at various other platforms. -NNI
