PESHAWAR, January 10: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has directed the Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir to immediately visit the family affected in an incident of roof collapse due to recent snowfall in Dogdara area and extend all out support to the affected family. He has also directed the Deputy Commissioners of all districts and rescue agencies of the province to remain on high alert in view of the recent rains and snowfall, and to provide timely assistance to the affected families and deal with any emergency situation due and snowfall. The Chief Minister has further directed all the districts administration to take all necessary steps to re-open the roads closed for traffic due to snowfall and landslides.
He has specially directed all the deputy commissioners to shift homeless people to shelter homes and other government buildings in their respective districts and ensure all necessary arrangements for their accommodation and food adding that it must be ensured that no one sleeps outdoors during this cold winter season.
In a statement issued here on Saturday regarding tye Dogdara, Upper Dir incident, Mahmood Khan has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of five people, including a mother and children, who died due to roof collapse in recent snowfall in Dogdara area of Upper Dir. He has expressed grief over the incident and extended his condolences to bereaved family and said that the provincial government shared the grief of the bereaved family and affected family would not be left alone and every possible help would be given to them.The Chief Minister also expressed grief over the loss of life and property in other districts of the province as a result of various incidents due to rains and snowfall and expressed sympathy and condolences to the affected families.-PR
