PESHAWAR, January 18: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has issued a show-cause notice to its Member of National Assembly (MNA) Noor Alam Khan over tirade against party leadership during the assembly session. The show-cause notice was issued to the PTI MNA from Peshawar by the party’s KP President and Defence Minister Pervez Khattak who directed Noor Alam Khan to submit a reply to it within seven days. The notice read that Noor Alam levelled allegations against party leadership which were also broadcasted and published in media. He should submit a response clearing his position along with documentary evidence by January 24. Previously, responding to reports regarding a show-cause to be issued from the party, the PTI MNA said that he stand by his ECL statement given on the floor of the National Assembly. “Pakistan comes first for me party. Politics comes second. I believe in accountability and I still stand by the statement that all 3 rows plus advisors should be put on ECL,” he wrote in a tweet. Noor Alam Khan had assailed the PTI government on the floor of the National Assembly for “ignoring” Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and gas shortage in the province. “In our districts there is no gas, no electricity,” he had said. -DNA
