President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On ratification of the Supplementary Agreement to the Framework Agreement on Gratuitous Assistance between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea, signed on Dec. 9, 2020 in Bishkek”.
The Law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on Dec. 22, 2021.
The aim of this Law is to ratify the Additional Agreement to the Framework Agreement on Gratuitous Assistance between the Governments of the two countries and to implement domestic procedures.
The Supplementary Agreement aims to develop partnership and cooperation between the countries through the implementation of grant assistance programs.
The document stipulates the main privileges and immunities for KOICA representatives, staff and their family members, in accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 6 of the aforementioned Framework Agreement.
According to the text of the Supplementary Agreement, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan issues an accreditation card to KOICA representatives and staff to grant status with special international privileges and immunities, and to ensure cooperation with all state organizations.
