Putin wants renaissance of Soviet Union.He has been actively engaged in bringing back under Moscow’s fold those Central Asian countries which the American CI A had rent asunder from once the mighty Soviet Union Empire.Russia has after a long time got a very active and volatile leaderin his shape after Khureschev.The latest statement of President Biden that the Americans would go the whole hog to defend Ukraine in case the Russians invaded it is a strong indication that things are moving towards a full scale war in Eastern Europe which can trigger off any time soon. Last time these two super powers had come close to a military showdown was when Fidel Castro had taken a strong position over Cuban crisis back in 1960s.
