ISLAMABAD, January 27: The meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Turkmenistan Matthew Steven Klimov was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties considered a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as touched upon international and regional topics of mutual interest.
The diplomats also exchanged views on the agenda of the annual bilateral consultations planned to be held in the near future.
Drawing attention to the importance of economic cooperation between the two countries, the parties stressed the need to hold the next meeting of the Turkmen-American Business Council in 2022.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng, during which the diplomats discussed the results of the online summit “Central Asia – China”, held on January 25 this year.
In this regard, the parties considered specific issues related to the implementation of the agreements and initiatives of the Heads of State, announced during the above-mentioned Forum.
Later on the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin took place in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed issues of further development of Turkmen-Russian relations, exchanged views on regional and international issues.-PR
