Directs authorities to expedite work on Safe City Peshawar project

PESHAWAR, March 16: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has directed the authorities concerned to expedite work on Safe City Peshawar project adding that implementation of anti-terrorist laws and effective check and balance on entry points should also be ensured in order to protect people and provincial institutions.
He was presiding over a high level meeting regarding law and order situation at CM Secretariat Peshawar. Border management system, safe city Peshawar project, repatriation of FC and other important issues came under discussion in the meeting.
The Chief Minister, while speaking on the occasion said that government was utilising all available resources to establish sustainable peace in the province, saying that progress on different aspects including exchange of information with intelligence agencies was underway on daily basis. That is why the mostly plans of terrorist were being failed, he maintained. Pervez Khattak also made it clear that the terrorism was an international issue and its eradication needs collective struggle at international level to stop its funding.
Special Assistant to CM Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, Provincial Ministers Inayatullah Khan, Shah Farman, Ali Ameen Gandapur, Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan, IGP Nasir Khan Durrani, Secretary Home, Commissioner Peshawar, Deputy Commissioner and CCPO attended the meeting.
Earlier, the Chief Minister inquired about the health of victims of Peshawar Saddar bomb blast at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. He strongly condemned the incident and expressed his deepest grief on the loss of precious lives. He also directed the hospital administration to provide efficient medical facilities to the injured persons of the incident.-PR
