QUETTA, February 7: Two security officials on Monday got hurt in an explosion on Sariab Road near Wali Jet in Quetta.
According to sources, security officials were patrolling the Sariab Road as per routine when a blast hit the road. As a result, two officials sustained injuries. Security sources said that the nature of the blast was still not known.
Terror incidents are rising in the country for the last few days. On Sunday, five Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom when terrorists from Afghanistan started unprovoked cross-border firing.
The military’s media wing, ISPR, said that the terrorists used Afghan soil and attacked gunfire in the Kurram district of Pakistan. Pakistani troops responded in a befitting manner and inflicted a heavy loss upon the terrorists, the ISPR said citing intelligence reports. -NNI
