The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Turkey Ishanguli Amanliyev visited the headquarters of the Turkish Anadolu Agency in the capital Ankara on Wednesday. Amanliyev was received by Anadolu Board Chairman, General Manager Serdar Karagoz and Project Management Coordinator Oguz Karagash, the Anadolu Agency reports.
Karagoz expressed his pleasure to host Amanliyev at the news agency’s headquarters, and provided him with information about the structure of international news and its activities. Emphasizing that AA wants to produce as much content as possible about Turkmenistan, Karagoz said it’s one their priorities.
For his part, the Turkmen Ambassador stressed the significant role of the media, led by Anadolu Agency, in strengthening relations between the two countries.
The sides also highlighted the importance of Cooperation Agreement between the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) and Anadolu Agency signed within framework of meeting between the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat last year.
Founded in 1920, Anadolu Agency is a state-run news agency headquartered in Turkey’s capital Ankara. Through its global network of correspondents and journalists in 100 countries, AA covers topics from politics to economics, energy to sports, health to science and technology and culture.
