. A round table on the topic “Dialogue-a Guarantee of Peace” was held at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Austria, ORIENT reported. The event dedicated to of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Austria was attended by the Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna Susanne Kepler-Schlesinger, Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership of the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs Thomas Buchsbaum, international expert Vladimir Goryaev, ex-OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, representatives of the Austrian Foreign Ministry, diplomats, head of the Turkmen-Austrian society, representatives of international organizations, scientists, university professors.
The event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Austria was attended by the Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna Susanne Kepler-Schlesinger, Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership of the Austrian Ministry for European and International Affairs Thomas Buchsbaum, international expert Vladimir Goryaev, ex-OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier, representatives of the Austrian Foreign Ministry, diplomats, head of the Turkmen-Austrian society, representatives of international organizations, scientists, university professors.
Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Austria, Silapberdy Nurberdiev, spoke about the achievements made by the two countries in the context of bilateral relations, about the main directions of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy aimed at strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as about interaction within the framework of authoritative international organizations.
The global initiative of Turkmenistan “Dialogue-a Guarantee of Peace” is aimed at uniting the efforts of the international community in strengthening the traditions of peaceful coexistence of the peoples of the world, equality and respect for territorial value, and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Turkmenistan, as a permanently neutral state, plays an important role in strengthening regional peace and stability and successfully implements its peacemaking foreign policy strategy. In addition, during the conference, the similarities and differences between the Turkmen and Austrian neutralities, as well as the development of Turkmen-Austrian relations in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian, scientific, technical and cultural spheres were discussed.
