KARACHI, February 25: Speakers at ShuraHamdard combined online meeting expressed solidarity with the ongoing struggle for freedom in Kashmir and condemned the atrocities committed by the Indian occupied forces against unarmed civilians.
A ShuraHamdard online meeting was held yesterday on the topic: “Kashmir wants peace”, presided over by Justice (r) Haziq-ul-Khairi, who attended the meeting alongside Mrs. Sadia Rashid President Hamdard Foundation Pakistan via Zoom from Hamdard Corporate Head Office.
Members of all Shura chapters Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi/Islamabad, and Peshawar attended the meeting. They offered condolences and prayed for late Barrister Rashid Munir Ahmed (husband of Mrs. Sadia Rashid), Speaker ShuraHamdard Lahore – late Mrs. BushraRehman, and former Vice-Chancellor of Hamdard University late Prof. Dr. Ismail Saad.
Members were of the view that calling Kashmir a jugular vein of Pakistan was not just a mere political statement of Quaid-e-Azam, but a historical fact. They said: “Kashmir shares a deep-rooted religious, cultural, and traditional connection with the region of modern-day Pakistan for centuries. Pakistan needs to prepare itself on ideological, diplomatic, and military fronts to fight against the tyranny and human rights violations committed by India in Kashmir. India brutally subjugates Kashmiris and violates their rights on a daily basis. This has caused a backlash in the Muslim world. Pakistan needs to capitalize on this growing resentment against India in the Muslim world by launching a social media campaign to expose India in the eyes of Muslims all over the world. Kashmiris strongly support Pakistan which is why Pakistan has been able to liberate a large part of Kashmir from India. Kashmir will never see peace as long as it is occupied by India. Indian aggression is against the wishes of Kashmiris. We need to make our youth realize that Kashmir is not a mere dispute between Pakistan and India, but it is a part of Pakistan, which is wrongfully occupied by India. We have to do whatever it takes to take our land and people back from India. OIC and the UN have failed to persuade India into seeking a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute because every country looks after its own interests. For this, we need to present the Kashmir dispute as a human tragedy.” – PR
