LAHORE, February: Paying rich tributes to the country’s armed forces on the 3rd anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif said that February 27, 2019 was an unforgettable day in the history of the country since it was on this day Pakistan had proved to the world that whosoever would take on it, would be torn apart.
In his message in connection with the day on Sunday, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz said that the Indian attack on Balakot three years ago had put the world’s peace, particularly of South Asia, in jeopardy.
“But Pakistan, by giving a swift and prompt response, showed to the world that not only it was a responsible and an independent state but was also fully capable of defending itself against all kinds of aggression,” said PML-N president in the message, and added on this day the nation saluted its brave Pakistan Airforce (PAF) fighter pilots who foiled the enemy country’s plans.-TLTP
