ISLAMABAD, March 2: The power theft is a cause ofirreparable lose for Pakistan, its institutions and General Public. Against these culprits a very comprehensive and indiscriminate operations are being carried out in all 06 operation circles of IESCO. IESCO Chief Executive Dr. Muhammad Amjad Khan said that in the month of February 2022, IESCO’s operation, M&T and surveillance teams checked 56,215 electricity meters out of which 3226 suspicious electricity meters were caught during the checking. Consumers were fined more than Rs. 28,529,576 by charging 1,526,972 units and FIRs have also been filed against 53 persons in the concerned police stations for legal action. IESCO management has requested consumers to join IESCO in this national campaign and report power theft and supporting elements to the relevant SDO office, helpline number 118, complaint and monitoring cell IESCO Islamabad number. 051-9252933 or on CEO IESCO e-mail address ceo@iesco.com.pk, so that action could be taken against these hostile elements without any delay.-PR
