MEETING HELD TO REVIEW DEVELOPMENT WORK ON KHAYALI BRIDGE
PESHAWAR, March 3: A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Provincial Law Minister Fazal Shakur Khan regarding the ongoing development work on the first part of Khayali Bridge between Charsadda and Peshawar.
The meeting was attended by Asif Abrar Manager NLC Peshawar, Ijaz Ahmad Director Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority, Usman Shinwari Deputy Director Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority, Syed Salman Liaqat Resident Engineer NESPAK and other senior officials.
During the meeting, the provincial law minister was given a detailed briefing on the ongoing development work on the first part of the Khayali Bridge.
The Director Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority said that in view of the importance of this bridge, work on it has been continued day and night so that the work could be completed in time.
Addressing the meeting, Provincial Law Minister Fazal Shakur Khan said that this bridge is very important as it connects two major cities Peshawar and Charssadda.
He said that the construction of this bridge would enhance the educational, commercial , trade, travel and other facilities of the people of both the cities.
The Law Minister directed the officers to expedite the construction of Khayali Bridge as well as Sardaryab Bridge and other roads and also finalize their funding issues with the Planning and Development Department, Communications & Works Department and Finance Department as soon as possible, so that the work can be completed on time.
He added that a special plan should also be prepared for the entry of loaders and others heavy vehicles inside the city so as to avoid traffic jams and breakdowns of small roads. -PR
