Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan discussed topical issues on regulation of water-energy balance, Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzaev wrote on his page in social networks. He noted that a meeting was held his counterparts from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan on the instruction of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
“We discussed topical issues on regulation of water and energy balance, as well as our interaction on further strengthening of cooperation,” the minister added. Bekmurzaev said that the meeting was productive.
“My colleagues and I agreed that energy security is our common priority. We are always in touch with each other and do everything to ensure that our consumers have uninterrupted access to electricity. Development of water and energy potential of the Central Asian region is another important task to which we are ready to pay great attention,” the minister noted.
Heads of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Water Resources of Uzbekistan also participated in the meeting. The Kyrgyz energy minister stressed that such events will continue to be held in order to jointly address topical issues and monitor the implementation of joint projects.
