Exploration of Oil & Gas in sea can be beneficial for country

ISLAMABAD March 20: Owing to additional reservoirs of oil and gas in sea, the work of exploration has been expedited and the drilling of over 18 wells has been completed so far, however drilling team could not get success even at single venue.
As per document received by Online, Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), a state institution could not get success in exploration of oil and gas in the ocean.
“There were lot of natural reservoirs of oil and gas in the sea but government could not succeed to explore them. Despite lot of incentives for oil and gas exploring companies given by the government, they could not succeed to achieve the target”, report reveals.
The document shows that total expenditure of drilling of wells in the sea was over Rs 100 million. After spending heavy amount on drilling, exploring teams failed.
Some 12 wells were drilled near Makran coast but the government had stopped the drilling work in the sea for one year, document concluded.-Online
