ISLAMABAD, March 14: President Dr Arif Alvi has said that Pakistan is witnessing a boom in religious tourism, which is portraying the positive image of the country.
The president said this while addressing a two-day international conference and art festival for promoting social cohesion and interfaith harmony, titled ‘Buddhism in Pakistan, History Archaeology, Art and Architecture’ on Monday.
The president said the government is taking several measures to promote religious tourism in the country. He said the people to people contact and religious tourism provide excellent platforms to further expand bilateral cooperation among the countries.
