PESHAWAR, March 16: Special Assistant to KP CM on Industries and Investment (SACM) Abdul Karim Tordher has said that the top priority of the provincial government is to attract foreign investment in the industrial sector of the province.
Tordher said this on Wednesday after inaugurating the Overseas Investment Desk at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) head office. CEO KPEZDMC Javed Khattak and CCO KPEZDMC Adil Salahuddin were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the SACM said that the prime objective of the overseas investment desk is to extend prompt response to the overseas Pakistani diaspora and foreign investors who are interested and setting up projects and bringing investment to KP. He further said that the provincial government is extending full support and cooperation all the way till completion of the project.
He said the government is keeping its commitment towards improving the industrial infrastructure of the zone. He appreciated the role of KPEZDMC towards the industrialisation agenda of the KP government. Karim also attended a meeting on Zoom with the special assistant to prime minister for CPEC, in order to streamline and speed up developmental work on Chinese investment in Rashakai Special Economic Zone. He also chaired a presentation meeting regarding allotment of plots and modernisation of the economic zone.
He lauded the work and efficiency of KPEZDMC in different economic zones of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The SACM also inaugurated new industrial units HiTec packages and Creative Packages and Printers at Hayatabad Industrial Estate. -NNI
