President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kyrgyzstan Gabriela Guellil on the occasion of presenting credentials, his press service reported.
During the meeting, the Kyrgyz leader noted that February 3 this year marked the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Germany.
In this regard, he confirmed that Kyrgyzstan considers Germany as an important foreign policy partner. Zhaparov thanked the German side for its assistance in the democratic and socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan.
In order to achieve accelerated post-coastal economic recovery and development, the Kyrgyz presidetnt invited the German ambassador to intensify cooperation in trade and investment, financial and technical and climatic spheres. In this regard, he welcomed the establishment of the German-Kyrgyz Business Council as a mechanism to attract German investments.
For her part, Gabriela Guellil ambassador noted the friendly relations between Germany and Kyrgyzstan, which are consistently strengthened by fruitful cooperation in many areas of mutual interest.
The ambassador also confirmed that the German Government will continue to provide full support to the Kyrgyz people on the path of democratic development and socio-economic prosperity, both bilaterally and as part of multi-purpose cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the European Union. Along with this, a special attention will be paid to project support for the efforts of the Kyrgyz authorities to curb climate change and implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
