Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received on Monday Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, who arrived in the country for an official visit.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on intensifying cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
Zhaparov emphasized that the first ever visit of the Saudi foreign minister to Kyrgyzstan will contribute to strengthening friendship and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking about the Saudi-Kyrgyz business forum held in Riyadh, as well as agreements reached on the supply of Kyrgyz goods to Saudi Arabia, Sadyr Zhaparov expressed gratitude for the organization of these important events at a high level.
In turn, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud thanked the Kyrgyz president for the opportunity to meet and conveyed the words of greetings from the leadership of Saudi Arabia and wished prosperity and development to the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan.
The Kyrgyz president and the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia noted the need to increase efforts in the field of investment cooperation.
Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud invited representatives of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to visit their Kingdom to discuss the prospects for cooperation in investment and trade and economic spheres.
He once again expressed interest in developing promising areas of bilateral cooperation, including the export of environmentally friendly products from Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia in trade, export of agricultural, environmentally friendly products, tourism, as well as the implementation of a number of joint projects.
