Al-Maliki began his speech by thanking the Republic of Pakistan for hosting the work of the forty-eighth session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, praising the efforts it made for the success of the session.
Al-Maliki discussed the impact of international conflicts on the stability of the world and on the increase in challenges that threaten the multilateral global system based on international law. He pointed to the critical importance of unifying international efforts to confront the current challenges and establish global justice and stability.
