Population and Housing Census has started in Kyrgyzstan on March 25 at 00.00 at Manas and Osh International Airports.
The National Statistical Committee said that the census of persons who were at the Manas and Osh airports at the time of the census was carried out by temporary census staff before they left for other countries.
Persons traveling abroad are enumerated according to a special form, which consists of seven questions.
The National Statistical Committee presented memorable gifts to the first respondents at the Manas International Airport.
The population and housing census will be held in the Kyrgyz Republic from March 25 to April 3 and in some remote rural districts – from April 23 to May 2.
In this connection president of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov sent an address to the people of Kyrgyzstan. In his address the president stressed the importance of economic and social importance of the population and housing census and asked the people to take an active part in it.
