ISLAMABAD, March 30: A one-day National Seminar on “Traditions of Systematic Translation and Interpretation of Holy Quran in Subcontinent” is being held today (Thursday, March 31) at Allama Iqbal Open University. Explaining the details of the seminar, Dean of the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Prof. Dr Shah Mohyuddin Hashmi, said that this would be the third event of the ongoing academic activities in the university for the promotion of Quran and Sunnah teachings and these activities would continue throughout the year. The seminar will commence at 9:30 am in the Academic Complex of the University and will be chaired by Prof. Dr Shah Mohyuddin Hashmi. Among the speakers are Prof. Abdul Haq, Translator of Nawa-e-Quran, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hameed Khan Abbasi, Dean, Faculty of Principles of Religion, International Islamic University, Prof. Dr. TajAfsar, Chairman, Department of Islamic Studies, Mohayy-ud-Din Islamic University, Tarakhel (Azad Jammu and Kashmir). Advisor Rector of Bahria University Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Habib-ur-RehmanAsim and Chairman of the Department of Qur’an and Tafsir AIOU, Dr. SanaullahHussain.
