In his speech at the 4th Asia-Pacific Water Summit, President Emomali Rahmon invited all those present to participate in the Second International High-Level Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028,” which will be held from June 6 through June 9 in Dushanbe. Taking the advantage of this opportunity, I wish to invite all the participants to Dushanbe Conference to contribute to the preparation process to UN Water Conference,” he said. As the initiator of a New Action Decade “Water for Sustainable Development,» Tajikistan has launched “Dushanbe Water Process,” and in 2018 convened the First High-Level International Conference on this Decade. The conference will facilitate in linking different global events, including Asia-Pacific Water Summit. It is noteworthy, that 2023 New-York Conference, which is scheduled to be held under the co-chairmanship of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, will be convened after almost 50 years since the first UN Water Conference was held in 1977.
