Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on Monday visited Renmin University of China in Beijing ahead of China’s Youth Day, which falls on May 4.
During his tour, President Xi visited an intelligent classroom for ideological-political courses, museum and library to learn about the work of educational reform and innovation, the historical evolution of the university and the achievements in teaching and scientific research. He learned about the efforts to strengthen the protection and utilization of ancient books and promote the application of theoretical research achievements. He also presided over a symposium for teachers and students. – CGTN
