A solemn ceremony was held to transfer humanitarian cargo to the people of Afghanistan in the Afghan city of Hairatan.
It should be specially noted that this humanitarian aid with a total weight of more than 4,000 tons was delivered to Afghanistan on the eve of the bright holiday of Eid al-Fitr and included wheat, flour, rice, confectionery and canned food, clothing, essential goods, as well as 100,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine and related tests to determine it.
Speaking at the ceremony, the official representative of the Interim Government of Afghanistan, Zabihullah Mujahid, on behalf of the entire Afghan people, expressed deep and sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the great attention, support and solidarity with the Afghan people in this difficult time for Afghanistan.
It was emphasized that it was the Head of Uzbekistan who once again showed the whole world an example of fraternal attitude towards the multinational people of Afghanistan, which is also a clear example for the entire international community.
Separately, it was emphasized that the indicated assistance was delivered to Afghanistan on the eve of the largest and most revered holiday by all Muslims – Eid al-Fitr.
“This once again demonstrates the friendly and truly fraternal nature of the policy of the respected President of Uzbekistan towards the Afghan people, who today, in fact, are building their future anew,” Z. Mujahid said.
The governor of Balkh province Maulvi Qudratullah Abu Hamza noted the timeliness and significance of this humanitarian assistance, its special demand for the entire people of the country.
“This broad gesture of the President of Uzbekistan will literally help save the lives of thousands of my countrymen, inspire them with faith in tomorrow. In my opinion, no head of a foreign state does more for Afghanistan than the respected Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In turn, we will do everything in our power to ensure security and stability on the Uzbek-Afghan border,” concluded the governor of Balkh province.
