Chairman KC-EU pays tribute to Ashraf Sehrai

BRUSSELS, May 5: Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed has paid a great tribute to the martyred senior All Parties Hurriat Conference (APHC) leader, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai on his 1st martyrdom anniversary.
Senior APHC leader and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai who challenged India’s illegal hold over the Jammu and Kashmir for decades, died due to defective medical facilities in Indian captivity on May 05, 2021.
Ali Raza Syed said, India under Modi administration is responsible for the custodial death of MrSehrai. It is a prove that Modi regime is hell-bent on killing Kashmiri freedom leadership through state terrorism. Sehrai was not provided with any treatment in Udhampur jail despite suffering from multiple diseases.
The martyred leader was booked under draconian Public Safety Act, on July 12, 2020 and later on shifted to Udhampur Jail in Jammu. His condition deteriorated in jail and was not given timely access to doctor and died in the custody in Jammu.
Ali Raza Syed said, Ashraf Sehrai achieved martyrdom last year while fighting Indian occupation for a long time. In the statement, Chair of KC-EU also expressed solidarity with the families of all other martyrs.
Paying great tribute to all of the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir, Chair of Kashmir Council Europe said, the martyrs provided a great courage and strengthen to the freedom movement of Jammu and Kashmir.
Ali Raza Syed said, above seven decades history of Jammu and Kashmir is full of sacrifices especially people of occupied Kashmir are still paying a huge price for freedom struggle for liberation of their homeland from Indian occupation.
There is no comparative example of genocide of the people of Jammu and Kashmir by the Indian occupation forces. Chair of Kashmir Council EU said, martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir have very important role in the freedom movement.
Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said that we shall continue to raise our voice against the constant atrocities of brutal Indian forces in Indian Illegal occupied Kashmir (IIOK).
Ali Raza Syed said, we shall constantly highlight this issue at the international forums until the justice for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the international community to take serious notice of the severe situation of human rights in Jammu and Kahmir.
Calling essential role of the world community for just resolution of Kashmiri issue he said, a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue is essential for peace and prosperity of the South Asian region.-PR
