ISLAMABAD, March 24: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that to correct accountability system in the country, the government would welcome suggestions from all political parties.
Winding up the discussion on NAB performance, Pervaiz Rashid told the National Assembly that there is a need to make the accountability system fair, transparent and prestigious.
He said the NAB Chairman has also admitted that there is need to improve the accountability system.
The Minister said the government will welcome the proposals of the Parliament to improve this system.
He also said it is the responsibility of everybody including media and politicians to respect the code of conduct of PEMRA.
The minster said said responsibility also lies with the regulatory authority to implement its code.
He said today he personally appeared before the council of complaint of PEMRA in a complaint lodged against him by a TV anchor. However, the complainant himself flied to the United States last night instead of appearing before the council.-Online
