ISLAMABAD, May 13: A meeting of the retired officers& officials was held on Wednesday in a local hotel at Rawalpindi. All retired officers and officials participated in the meeting & demanded the present Govt to increase their salaries in the coming budget. They said prices of each and every thing particularly petrol is increasing day by day. All pensioners request the present govt to increase pensions atleast 50%. As last time former government increased 45% salaries of government employees but pensioners were deprived of this benefit. Present PM has increased 10% pension . Pensioners are thankful to him but compared to price hike in the country & last increase of govt employees it is very low. The pensioners have to face to pay house rent , purchase of medicines, groceries & local commodities etc. In view of above circumstances, therefore, pensioners made a request to the present govt to increase 50% pension/ compared to government employees last & recent to cope with the price hike in the country.-PR
