The world is a global village now. It is closely linked as never before. It has drastically undergone many changes also. The prospective Republican Party’s candidate Donald Trump has annoyed many minorities, including, the Muslims living in the US by his racist uncalled for remarks against them which might cost him his elections. Many political observers liken him to the newly-elected leader of the Britain’s Labour Party. Both of them seem to hard liners, having pre-conceived notions on many international issues. With friends like them, they believe, the Republican and Labour Party in the US and UK respectively don’t need any enemy.

Pakistan must revive its ties with Moscow as early as possible. In our over-enthusiasm to appease the Yankees we had gone out of the way to annoy Moscow which is our close neighbour and with whom we should never have, in the first place, spoiled our relations. Better late than never. We should make amends for our faults and bridge the gaps in our relationship with it.
