The 15th meeting of the Youth Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries was held in Tashkent under the chairmanship of the Uzbek side, on June 9-10, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
The main purpose of the meeting is to increase the role of youth in the economic and social growth and development of the SCO states among developing countries in the modern information age and the process of globalization, to strengthen and raise youth cooperation to a new level.
During the meeting, the participants got acquainted with reports containing specific facts and results on a wide range of opportunities and benefits provided to young people by the SCO member countries. An exchange of views also took place on expanding cooperation in such topical areas as scientific and technical cooperation in the youth field, creating platforms for the exchange of experience for young professionals, and increasing their potential.
Within the framework of the meeting, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the final stage of the competition “Unicorns ShHT: competition of the best start-up projects among SCO youth” took place. The competition was attended by talented youth from the SCO member states, observers and dialogue partners, in the direction of the best start-ups, as well as activists of the Youth Council of the SCO member states. The SCO Cooperation Program in the Field of Youth for 2022-2023 was approved following the results of the Youth Council . – Kabar
