ISLAMABAD, June 10: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and the Interior Secretary, in their separate reports on the PTI’s long march submitted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Friday, held former prime minister and party Chairman Imran Khan responsible for what they called creating ‘chaos’ inside federal capital’s D-Chowk on May 25, 2022.
It was alleged in these reports that it was Imran on whose orders PTI workers had entered the Red Zone.
The reports said that around seven to eight hundreds protestors removed containers and other obstacles on their way to the most sensitive area of the capital city as party leaders Fawad Chaudhry, Zartaj Gull, Saifullah Niazi and Imran Ismael kept inciting them to violence.
This happened despite the fact that the personnel of law-enforcement agencies kept stopping them. It was also claimed that it was at 6:50 on the evening of May 25 after the apex court order that the PTI chairman, in his live video message, had directed the party workers to reach the D-Chowk. And the former prime minister gave same instructions to the marchers once he reached Attock Bridge as he was entering Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the reports said. Furthermore, the SC was told, that the PTI workers reached the Express Chowk from the China Chowk in the form of a caravan after surmounting all the obstacles. – DNA
