Punjab CM declares three-day mourning
ISLAMABAD, March 27: President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have condemned the blast in Lahore.
In his message, the President said such coward acts will not shake nation’s resolve against terrorism.
Mamnoon Hussain has strongly condemned the act of terrorism at Gulshan Iqbal Park in Lahore and said that such cowardice acts could not shake the nation’s resolve against the menace of extremism and terrorism.
He said security and safety to the life and property of each citizen would be ensured and the operation Zarb-e-Azb would continue till elimination of the terrorism.
The government would fully protect its citizens, he added. The President said that the nation’s sacrifices against extremism would not go waste.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the blast in Lahore. He expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of innocent lives.
The Prime Minister has directed the concerned authorities to ensure special medical care to the injured.
PunjaB Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif have also condemned the bomb blast and directed to provide best possible medical facilities to the injured.
Shahbaz Sharif also declared three days of mourning in the province over a suicide blast that killed more than 63 people in Lahore.
President Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) and former President Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned as “most despicable” the suicide attack in Iqbal Town LahoreSunday evening resulting in the martyrdom of more than fifteen innocent people and injuries to many more.
In a statement the former President said that he was profoundly shocked and grieved over the senseless attack adding “such attacks have failed in the past and will fail now also in weakening the national resolve to root out militancy, extremism and religious fanaticism”.
The former President prayed for those who lost their lives and wounded and also offered his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
Mr. Zardari also directed the Party workers to visit the victims’ families and those in the hospital to commiserate and also to extend all possible help in their hour of distress.-DNA
