ISLAMABAD, June 16: PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz has declared that Pakistan would have defaulted if the IMF conditionalties were not accepted.
Talking to media outside Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday, the PML-N vice-president bravely faced the barrage of questions from the reporters about the prevailing inflation and another hefty rise in the prices of petroleum products.
Maryam stood confident to the teasing and pointed queries and answered them one by one. She said the ousted PTI government deliberately lowered petrol price before it was kicked out. “It would take months to come out of the destruction unleashed by Imran Khan,” she added. “When they learned that their government was about to collapse, they planted landmines for the incoming government,” she said.
