Speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Talant Mamytov received the world champion at UFC Valentina Shevchenko, spokesman for the speaker Yerlan Zhamankulov said.
The meeting was attended by the athlete’s mother Elena Shevchenko, coach Pavel Fedotov, president of the World Wrestling Federation Ruslan Kydyrmyshev and Vice President Emil Toktogonov.
Talant Mamytov congratulated Valentina Shevchenko on her recent successes and thanked her for popularizing Kyrgyzstan through sports.
“Each of your victory is an honor for us. We are especially pleased that young athletes take an example from you and glorify their country at prestigious international competitions,” he said, handing the athlete a nominal watch of the speaker. The speaker also wished every success to the mother of the athlete Elena Shevchenko and coach Pavel Fedotov. “Your comprehensive support of our athletes contributes to their achievement of the highest sporting victories,” the speaker emphasized.
